Brianna Special Christmas Wish

Our Daughter @Brianna has made this video to share with everyone the trials of living conditions in Peru. This Christmas they hope to raise $3500 for the children and families in a local neighborhood. Brianna has been there since June and will be there until June. It is an inspiration to see the work they do out there via social media. The money raised goes straight to families in need. Great job on the video Brianna. I love when we get to see this in action. Thanks for all you do and sacrifice Brianna xoxo

New Adventure

So I had my Grand Opening of my first Etsy Store Monday 11/25/2013  Very cool! I am looking forward to connecting with the Etsy world.  One of my items I'm selling is shown above Interchangeable Bottle Toppers.

This came about by many walks on the beach and finding a ton of beach shells, and sea glass. So I decided I should do something with them. We also make wine and have a lot of bottles around so I googled decorating wine bottles.  So many things to do haha.

I  found some similar items online but wanted to change it up a bit. So I decided it would be nice to do something with the topper after you drink all your wine. That is when I decided to make pendants dangle from the bottle toppers. When you are finished you can take off the dangle and wear it on a necklace as a pendant.

Yup that's right 3 gifts:
A Bottle of Wine
A Pretty wire coil with dangle
A necklace pendant

What a nice gift I though.  I hope it takes off eventually. You never know ;)

Gift ideas: Birthdays, Wedding favors, Christmas, Retirement, Valentines day, Anniversary,
Add into a gift basket.  House warming gift.
Baby Shower gift Mom gets the necklace , Dad gets the wine.
Realtor's can give as a new home gift with there business card in the spiral of the wire.

True Activity involves knowing your goals intimately, keeping them constantly in mind, and working toward them in an efficient way that wastes a minimum of energy and time.

Jason Gray - Remind Me Who I Am (Official Music Video)

Haaa.. soo I lost my password. Way too many to remember now and they keep wanting us to change them for security! How do we keep up?

Good to be back :)  It was an exceptional tax season. Praise God! We met many new clients who each come with their own stories, lives, families, burdens, hopes, & dreams. It is more than a job.

I'm keeping it short for first day back. Have some things to do but wanted to share a video I just saw on G+
It reminded me that we can never really know what is going on in other  peoples lives nor will we ever meet the millions around us in our lifetime. Brings me to in our line of work we dig deep, get personal and walk through peoples biggest challenges the financial weights of the world. At the end of the day I have more people to pray for and more to be thankful for. Never the less consistently challenged with "who I am"

Joy in the songs

Well today we are half way through our week and I just got the most heart warming video to watch. If this 4 year old girl isn't the cutest lil peanut around. The best part is when she says she picked the song to make her daddy smile!
Oh the simple things in life. Somewhere in the journey we loose this childlike way of thinking. We get busy and forget that we where created to glorify God (our heavenly father) just as this young beauty sings with joy for her daddy the concept is the same. If only we got on our prettiest lil dress some sparkly shoes and twirled out of splendor on the big stage of life to make our "Father" smile. Knowing that he is why we take our next breath each day.  What an inspiring video this is. I hope we all can find a little peace of that childlike playfulness today and be glad to sing for Him.

This kind of joy overflows into our lives and through our loved ones.

Pass it on! Don't let today be one of sorrow or stumble. Find peace in the small things so you can find the song you want to sing in your heart to make not just yourself but others smile!

Mondays...

Well I dislike Mondays. The husband is back to work and I flounder to find my spot on the journey of stay at home mom. After working for him and now his knew job change it is difficult seeing him off on Mondays.  That's part of my reason to start this blog. Life as I knew it is so different then life as I know it.

The physical concept to friendships and outside life has now been put into a keyboard on my laptop. Distance between (family, friends) stinks!  I think it may be one of the destroying factors in the world today. Could you imagine a world where your friends and family could be visited in a reasonable amount of time and price when traveling.  Or one better they all live in the same town!

We went to Maryland yesterday to visit my sister, her kids, and her new grand baby twin boys. Traveled  2 and a half hrs to stay an 1 1/2hrs  ughhh. My parents where up from Florida for the week also. To short but it is a necessary evil. We need to all engage or we disconnect.  I wish it was different. Even my husbands side is far away.  Time slips by and we continue to say we hope to get there soon.

The warrior of the Light is terrified when making important decisions.

"This is too much for you," says a friend. "Go on, be brave," says another. And so his doubts grow.

After some days of anxiety, he withdraws to the corner of his tent where he usually sits to meditate and pray. He sees himself in the future. He sees the people who will benefit or be harmed by his attitude. He does not want to cause pointless suffering, but nor does he want to abandon the path.

The Warrior allows the decision to reveal itself.

If he has to say "yes," he will say it bravely. If he has to say "no,"  he will say it without a trace of cowardice.

~Paulo Coelho

Recently I have been baffled by the perplexity of making a decision on how to move forward at this time in my life. I have never reached a season where I yearned so deeply to serve my heavenly father. I am stuck in the how though. Do you understand how many people struggle with wanting to make a difference or feeling a sense of accomplishment in their day.  What I ask is accomplishment anymore?
Is it how much we got done at work?
How many extra hours we put in?
Is it that we where able to set our minds right to accomplish all the cleaning tasks in a day that must take place?
Is it being a best selling book?
Is it being able to afford to food shop once a week?
Is it volunteering at a local food bank?
Is it attending church on Sunday?

Has accomplishment just come down to the simple check of the box done on our task list or do we really want more out of journey?

WELCOME!

This is my blog a place to really dig deep and figure out how we waste so much time a day doing things that someone has told us has to get done. I believe there may be more to the 24 hours in a day God has gifted us with. I am afraid it has been lost to the financial ties of debt and the mundane struggle to get up and go to work to pay it down.  Recently I lost my job. Recently I gained a new one though that does not pay me in money. It stretches me to farthest place in my being to learn the act of kindness called "paying it forward"  I may just see small rewards here and there in my daily walk but I believe years from now the work that is taking place now will reap many deep loving rewards in ways I can not understand this side of heaven.  But I am willing to change daily and wake with a brave "yes' in my soul.
